I just finished re-watching Wilco’s film and it is just as enthralling as it was the last time I watched it. The film is a documentary about the band during the time before and after the release of their critically-acclaimed album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
. The band went through a highly-publicized split from their record label, the firing of a member, and, of course, the difficulty of putting together what would be become one of the best albums of the year.
This, along with The Last Waltz and Great Rock N Roll Swindle
, is one of the greats of the music documentary canon.
