Cultkin.
A ‘kin for cult movies. Or in the case of this little guy, cult horror movies in particular. Some of my favorites are The Wicker Man, Lair of the White Worm, and Ravenous.
A number of us in the Cinekin Team are Lovecraft fans. There’s just something about the lurking, ever-present horror that hovers just beyond our sight or understanding that creates a deeply psychological unease we can’t get enough of. To that end, I present Cultkin! Macaulay, he ain’t…this guy’s ready to throw you on the slab and offer you up to the Colour Out of Space as soon as look at you.
Yeah, yeah…we’re all enormous nerds on the Cinekin Team. You can tell that Cultkin is one of my personal favorites by the fact that I added noticeably more detail (in the shadows on his face and cloak) than I usually do.
You know, this is STILL one of my all-time faves. The shadowing, the detail, the fluid, almost perceptible movement of those tentacles – amazing work!
